HATS off to young people who took centre stage at a graduation ceremony with a difference at the University of Bolton.
Pomp and splendour was in abundance as eight people graduated from The Prince's Trust Team course run by Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.
The fire service runs three courses each year where young people have the opportunity to gain qualifications meet new people and develop skills.
The University of Bolton is a supporter of The Prince’s Trust course and helps to develop the employability skills and offers training for those on the course.
Deborah Williams, for the Prince’s Trust North, said: "We are all so proud of our Prince’s Trust Team graduates, both in terms of what everyone has achieved together and the future potential they have opened up for themselves through their commitment to the award."
Awards were presented by Bill Webster, assistant vice chancellor at the University of Bolton.
He said: "It is a pleasure to be part of this event which celebrates the achievements of these young people.
"Preparing for the world of work is a skill we embed in our students’ university life and so we are delighted to bring that training to these young people.
"We wish everyone every success."
The Prince’s Trust Team programme is free to attend and lasts 12 weeks.
As part of a team, course recruits gain careers advice, go on work placements, and take part in community-based projects.
The award is for young people aged 16 to 25 looking for a challenge but facing issues such as unemployment, leaving care, or dealing with being an offender or ex-offender.
