MARK Davies looks set to return for Wanderers as they bow out at the Macron Stadium against Hull City on Saturday.

The midfielder missed last weekend’s defeat at Cardiff City with a bruised knee but has responded well to treatment and should be in the squad for the televised lunchtime clash.

Defender Dorian Dervite is now back in full training after ankle ligament damage and Gary Madine is also under consideration having sat out the last six games with a hip injury. The striker had an injection to settle the pain which has prevented him from training properly for the last couple of months.

Wellington Silva is unlikely to feature, although the Brazilian winger is working to make one final appearance in a Wanderers shirt at Fulham in the last game of the campaign.

It also remains to be seen whether Dean Moxey will be brought back into the squad for the suspended Niall Maher or whether youngster Tyler Garratt will be handed his first senior start at left-back.

With the club under pressure to cut their wage bill considerably in League One next season, Saturday could be the last appearance at the Macron for a handful of players.

The likes of Neil Danns, David Wheater, Stephen Dobbie and Emile Heskey are out of contract in the summer while top-end earners such as Davies, Darren Pratley and Ben Amos are expected to be offered elsewhere.

Jimmy Phillips is expected to confirm post-match plans at his press conference this morning, the likelihood being Wanderers players will do a lap of appreciation to thank supporters for their backing this season.

The Whites are out to avoid a record-breaking 26th defeat of the campaign and failure to take three points against Hull, who have already qualified for the play-offs, would also equal the lowest number of home wins in a season, currently four, set in 2011-12.

Meanwhile, the Football League has announced its key dates for next season, which will begin on Saturday, August 6 and end on Sunday, April 30 in League One.

Fixtures will be released on June 22, and there will be no let-up in this year’s festive schedule with games set for Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and Monday, January 2.

Should Wanderers require the play-offs, fans should pencil in Saturday, May 20 for the final, to be held at Wembley.
