CHECK your calendar and you will see that the first May bank holiday is upon us.
Not that you would think it from looking out of your window this morning.
Some parts of Bolton have been hit by snowfall overnight.
Bolton News reader, Sarmand, captured this video of snowfall in Derby Street, Bolton.
Here is how it looks at the Wellbeing Farm in Plantation Road, Edgworth.

Fortunately for commuters, all local roads seem clear of the ice, though some roads have been affected further north around Blackburn and Rawtenstall.
FORECAST: What does the weather hold for the bank holiday weekend?
However, some Bolton residents seem not to be too put out by the arrival of the white stuff so late on in spring.

People in Bolton looking at me like I put the snow on my car myself. I live in a village with its own weather climate!
