A MAN has been charged after a woman was stabbed in the street.

David Hughes, aged 58, of Foxfold Close, Mosley Common, has been charged with Section 18 wounding, affray and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon.

He is due to appear before Bolton magistrates today.

At around 2.45pm on April 9, police were called to Bramley Road, Sharples, following reports that a man had stabbed a woman in the street.

The woman was taken by ambulance to Royal Bolton Hospital and her recovery continues.
