Here's our guide to what you can do in and around Bolton this weekend.
- The night spots of Bolton are gearing up for a jam-packed weekend of music.
North West rock group The Stetsons Electric will be performing for the first time in the town at free gig in Blind Tiger, Nelson Square, from 9am on Friday. The group has appeared in shows across the Northwest, including performing live on BBC Radio Manchester.
- Over in Bradshawgate, new music venue Kico.Rocks will be hosting Police tribute band The Rozzers on Friday. Starting at 8.30pm, tickets cost £8 on the door.
The following night guitar rock group Band of Gypsies will be rocking the venue, with tickets at £5 on the door.
- If you’re more in to indie, The White Horse in Edgworth is welcoming Stone Mile who will be performing live from 9.30pm on Friday. The group cover songs from bands including Foo fighters, Stereophonics, ZZ top and Green Day.
- On Saturday night The Alma, in Bradshawgate, is upping the ante with a gig by metal band Die No More. The band from Cumbria will be taking to the stage at 8pm with free entry on the door.
- For something a little more child-friendly try the Blackrod Library in Church Street. The library hosts a Saturday Club from 9.30am to 10.30am. Each weekend has a theme with stories, songs and activities for children aged under five and their families.
- A fun day at the Spring Fair air can be had at St John's Church, in Chorley Road, Westhoughton from 1pm-4pm on Saturday. The free event will include stalls, face painting, woodcraft, cakes and refreshment.
- On Sunday bargain hunters can get down to either Bolton or Westhoughton Markets were there will be car boot sales. Bolton’s booting starts at 7am while Westhoughton kicks off a little later in the day at 10am.
- Anyone looking to take advantage of this weekend’s good weather can get out to stretch their legs and meet new friends at Leverhulme Park.
Bolton Led Walks is hosting one of its regular strolls out from . The event is free to attend.
