THE children at Little Angels Nursery more than £400 Thursday for the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital Charity.
The nursery was one of many across Greater Manchester participating in the ‘Teddy Toddle’ event.
The fundraiser is to provide the hospital with a 24-hour helicopter pad as part of the hospital’s ‘Time Saves Lives’ campaign.
More than 30 children aged from two to four and 14 members of staff collected money for the charity and took part in the 10-minute walk from their nursery in Crompton Way.
The children brought their teddies on the walk and played at the park before returning back to the nursery.
“We usually just do a sponsored walk with the staff but this time we included the students and we raised a lot more. £400 is just what we have at the moment, there’s still lots more to come in,” said the nursery’s owner Karen Jackson.
