A BOLTON town has been named in the Top Ten funniest place names in the UK.
Nob End, in South Lancashire, came fifth in a poll which asked respondents to rank the nations most bizarrely named places.
Comedian Chris Ramsay is the brains behind the poll and undertook the mission to seek out the UK's most weird and wonderfully names towns.
From Crapstone in Devon to Brokenwind in Aberdeenshire our little island is blessed with hundreds of hilarious place names.
But some are giving people the giggles more so than others and here are an example of those that have been causing the most blushing.
Brown Willy in Cornwall, Boggy Bottom in Hertfordshire, Scratchy Bottom in Dorset and Crotch Crescent in Oxford.
