A NAKED rambler, who has been spotted by another stunned resident in Bolton, claimed 'it's nature' after he was confronted by a cyclist.

Wearing nothing but walking shoes and a backpack, the man was caught on camera on Winter Hill on Sunday.

This is the second picture of the rambler, who also raised eyebrows when he was spied by passers-by earlier in the day.

A reader called Paul got in touch with his snapshot of the man, taken after they crossed paths at the beauty spot.

The mountain biker also enjoyed a brief exchange with the walker.

He said: "You're putting me off my bike ride."

The rambler replied "It's nature."

As we reported yesterday, former Belmont Primary School headteacher Chris Hoddle encountered the naked man earlier in the morning along Coal Pit Lane towards Winter Hill.

The rambler was bought to his attention by a walker whose dog took exception to the sight and went 'crazy'.

Mr Hoddle, of Smithills Road, did not talk to the man but grabbed a picture on his telephoto lens as the rambler strode off into the distance.

In England and Wales it is not an offence to be naked in public, but it does become an offence if it can be proved that the person stripped off with the intention to upset and shock.
