THE artists and designers of tomorrow will soon be showing off their creative flair.

The University of Bolton's artistic students are putting the final touches to their end of year Creative Degree Show.

Students from animation and illustration, games, architectural technology, media, performing arts and other departments will exhibit their work.

Bolton School of the Arts is launching the show on Thursday with a special guest and it opens to the public for general viewing on Friday and work will be on show for two weeks form 10am to 4pm — until Saturday, June 25.

The annual event is described as a celebration of "all things innovative and creative at the university", incorporating all subjects from across the artistic spectrum and a " a time when the university’s artistically gifted students demonstrate their graduate-level skills through original and thought-provoking work with prizes for the most eye-catching pieces".

Donna Claypool, from Bolton School of the Arts, said: "We are really looking forward to the 2016 Creative Degree Show and displaying hundreds of pieces of work across all disciplines.

"We have an amazing group of students graduating this year and very much look forward to welcoming their friends and families to see the result of all their hard work over the past three years."

Head of Bolton School of the Arts, Sam Johnson, said: "This year’s show is set to be bigger than ever. Our students have taken part in some amazing events this year including We are Bolton, Worktown Revisited, Artiflexx and the Surface Design Show. Students have produced some fantastic artwork during their time at the University and this show is a testament to the array of artistic talent we consistently produce."

The work of photography students is also being featured in the We are Bolton exhibition which opened at Bolton Museum and Art Gallery which documents and celebrates life in the town.
