A MUDDY good experience in a tough annual obstacle race has brought a useful donation for a Bolton charity.
Westhoughton play worker Carla Holloway and a team of her friends took part in the Tough Mudder event at Belvoir Castle in Grantham and tackled the 11-mile course which boasts high walls, an ice bath, electric shocks - and plenty of mud.
Their efforts have already raised £660 for Fortalice – Bolton’s refuge for women and children escaping domestic abuse – and Carla is hoping for more donations. “We had an amazing team and it made the day a lot of fun!” she said.
