Man fined for road offence

A MAN has been ordered to pay £811 in fines and court costs after committing a road traffic offence.

Asghar Ali Ahmed, aged 22, of Pengwern Avenue, Deane, was accused of failing to tell police who was driving a Volkswagen Polo was on December 15 last year when an offence was committed.

The charged was proved under the single justice procedure at Salford and Manchester Magistrates Court last Friday.

Ahmed was also given six penalty points.

‘Inconsiderate’ biker lands fine

RIDING a motorbike on a main road without consideration for other people has resulted in a man being fined.

Bolton magistrates heard how Nathan Yates, aged 21, of Poplar Avenue, Horwich, also had no licence or insurance when he rode the Suzuki GSF Bandit on Chorley New Road on March 30.

He pleaded guilty to committing the offences and was fined £290 plus £105 in costs and charges.

Drink-driver given curfew

BOLTON magistrates have sentenced a drink driver to an electronically tagged curfew.

Raymond Hill, aged 28, of Roocroft Court, Bolton, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Mondeo with excess alcohol, no licence or insurance on Ash Street, Bolton, on May 30.

Magistrates sentenced him to a 12 week 7pm to 7am curfew.

He was also banned from driving for three years and was ordered to pay £170 in costs and charges.

One-year ban for drink-driver

A DRINK driver caught driving a BMW without a licence or insurance in Bolton has been banned from the roads for 12 months.

At Bolton Magistrates’ Court Mario Horvath, aged 26, of Park Road, Bolton, pleaded guilty to committing the offences in College Way on May 30.

In addition to the driving ban, he was fined £150 and ordered to pay £115 in costs and charges.

Uninsured driver fined

AN UNISURED motorist who failed to stop after an accident in Church Street, Little Lever, has been fined by Bolton magistrates.

Ayibongwe Mabhena, aged 22, of Scarr Avenue, Radcliffe, committed the offences whilst driving a BMW 525i and colliding with an Audi A1 on January 24.

He pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention, failing to stop and failing to report an accident and having no insurance.

He was fined £150 and ordered to pay £300 compensation. Ten penalty points were added to his licence.

Woman fined for driver help

A WOMAN who aided and abetted a man to drive without a licence or insurance on Crompton Way, Bolton, on April 27 has been fined by magistrates.

Jean Phelps, aged 62, of Pimlott Road, Bolton, pleaded guilty to committing the offences.

Joshua Thompson, aged 21, of the same address, admitted driving the Seat without a licence or insurance.

They were each fined £150 plus £115 in costs and charges.

Man caught driving without licence

A MAN was caught driving without a licence.

Ernest Botos, aged 35, of Croston Street, Rumworth, drove a Toyota Avensis in Willis Street, Rumworth, on December 19 last year without a licence or insurance.

Two driving offences were proved under the single justice procedure at Salford and Manchester Magistrates Court and Todos was given six penalty points and ordered to pay £811 in fines and court costs.

Driver admits two offences

DRIVING in Chorley New Road, Lostock, without a licence or insurance landed a Bolton man in court.

Istvan Vakulya, aged 27, of St Helens Road, committed the two driving offences while driving a Citroen C5 on March 11.

He admitted the offences to Salford and Manchester magistrates last Friday and was given six penalty points and ordered to pay £338 in fines and court costs.

Motorist gets ban and fine for no insurance, no licence and using a mobile phone at the wheel

A BOLTON motorist has been fined more than £700 and banned from the road for six months.

Janos Horvath, of St George's Road, Bolton, committed the offences while driving a 2004-reg Fiat Punto in Manchester Road, Burnden, on October 19.

The 48-year-old did not have a licence or insurance and was caught using a mobile phone at the wheel.

The offences were proved at Manchester Magistrates' Court and Horvath was sentenced there.

He received a fine of £55 for the lack of a licence, £660 for a lack of insurance and £110 for the use of the mobile telephone.

Horvath was disqualified from motoring for six months and must pay £85 court costs and a £66 victim surcharge.

Tonge Moor man fined £300 for public order offence

A 25-YEAR-OLD man was fined £300 for a public order offence.

Mark Heyes, of Haroldene Street, Tonge Moor, causing harassment, alarm or distress on June 5 in Bolton.

He admitted the offence and was fined £300 at Bolton Magistrates' Court and will pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85.

Breightmet man fined £325 for growing nine cannabis plants at home

A BREIGHTMET man has been fined for growing nine cannabis plant at home.

James McCulloch, of Monks Lane, cultivated the class B drug at home on March 3.

He admitted production of cannabis at Bolton Magistrates' Court.

The 30-year-old was fined £325 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £33 and court costs of £85.

Tonge Moor drink driver fined and banned from motoring

A DRINK driver has been fined and banned from motoring for more than a year.

Anthony Pearl was in a 2002-reg Citroen Xsara when he was stopped in Wellington Street, Deane, on June 2.

He blew a reading of 54mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath against a limit of 35mg.

Pearl, aged 52 and of Tonge Moor Road, Tonge Moor, admitted drink driving at a hearing at Bolton Magistrates' Court.

He was fined £220 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85 and was disqualified from driving for 15 months.

Man tagged after breaching restraining order

A MAN has been electronically tagged and sentenced to a six week curfew after admitting breaching a restraining order.

At Bolton Magistrates' Court, Jordan Chadwick, aged 25, of Ellesmere Road, Bolton, was told he must remain at his home between 7pm and 7am.

The court was told he breached a restraining order by visiting an address in Mossfield Court, Bolton, on June 20.

In addition to the curfew he was ordered to pay £170 in costs and charges.

Man is fined over threats

MAGISTRATES have fined a man £300 after he admitted using threatening behaviour on June 4.

Mark Heyes, aged 25, of Haroldene Street, Bolton, was also ordered to pay £115 in costs and charges.
