FOUND: An appeal to find the owners this tortoise has been launched after the reptile was found near Egerton Cricket Club
A TORTOISE has been found in Egerton and is looking for its owners.
The slow mover was found last night in the garden of a resident, who lives near Egerton Cricket Club.
The resident, who has nicknamed the reptile 'Nigel Forage' has put out an appeal on Facebook for its owners to come forward.
She said: "I have been to the vets but it has no microchip.
"I will try to find the owner and if not look at rehoming it, because I have cats and dogs that would upset it in the garden.
"I have it in my house at the moment.
"I was letting our puppy out in the garden when I found it.
"We named it Nigel Forage, to rhyme with the dreaded."
