WANDERERS allowed fans to get a glimpse of the new era under Phil Parkinson at their Swedish training camp today.
Supporters travelled from the UK and other parts of Scandinavia to watch the Whites in action at a small training base in Burlov, on the outskirts of Malmo.
Parkinson and his players signed autographs and posed for pictures, chatting about his plans for the upcoming season in League One.
Steve Ames, who along with his sons Jordan, Harvey, Rowan and Oliver had driven for four hours to watch the session, was struck by the manager’s confident outlook.
“He really came across well – I am feeling a lot more optimistic about things now and I’m looking forward to seeing them on Saturday.”
Wanderers kick-off their competitive friendlies in Denmark on Saturday, facing First Division outfit Helsingor.
Among the players on show were Max Clayton – now back in full training after last season’s horrific hamstring injury – Rob Holding, Zach Clough and the three new summer signings, Chris Taylor, Jamie Proctor and Mark Beevers.
