BOLTON musical performers were playing from the same song sheet on Saturday for a charity concert.
Smithills School Senior Brass Band and The Eagley Band joined forces with Smithills School Community Choir in Bolton Parish Church at the weekend to raise more than £1,300 for Derian House Children’s Hospice.
The programme featured a mix of music from the Knight Templar, Riverdance, and Deep Harmony to Bohemian Rhapsody, Under The Boardwalk, What I Did For Love and Nothin' Like A Dame.
Eagley conductor Matthew Ryan is a former Smithills pupil and was taught by Smithills conductor Chris Wormald.
Mr Wormald thanked organisers and the audience for their support.
He added: "Not only did the concert raise over £1,300 for this most worthy of charities and organisations, it was a pleasure to perform to such an excellent audience.
"Many members of Eagley Band are current and former Smithills players, as indeed has been Eagley's conductor for the past four years Matthew Ryan, and it was a pleasure to come together in raising money for Derian House."
