THE results are in at this years RHS Flower Show in Tatton Park with a Bolton school bringing home a top award.

Green-fingered youngsters from three Bolton schools took part in the prestigious event alongside some of the country's finest horticulturists.

They spent part of this week creating their musical themed gardens, seen by thousands, in what is one of the biggest flower shows in the country.

Young gardeners from Eagley Infants primary school stole the show with their Shrek themed garden winning the title of "Best Primary School Garden".

The youngsters reimagined the musical, even recreating the ogre.

Lynn Clarkson from Eagley Infants said: "All of us have done Bolton proud."

Other Bolton schools: St Catherine's CE Primary School and Walmsley CE Primary School, also impressed with their Mamma Mia and Matilda themed gardens receiving "highly commended" awards.

As it is the first time so many Bolton schools have taken part it is needless to say all three primary schools are thrilled with their performance in the prestigious show.
