A PRIMARY school received an outstanding end of year report.
St Thomas CE Primary School in Halliwell was marked outstanding in all areas in a church inspection.
The National Society Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools Report found Leaders at St Thomas' consistently articulate, model and promote a vision for the school and its pupils which is rooted in distinctively Christian values."
It added that parents "value highly the Christian values and the respect shown to the different faiths and backgrounds of the community".
The Bishop of Middleton Mark Davies visited the school to congratulate the pupils and staff personally.
Headteacher Abigail Wright said: "The staff, parents, governors and children, all deserve the credit for this.
"Everyone works together and the children are delightful, very talented and an absolute credit to the school."
