TWO van fires in Great Lever are being treated as suspected arson.
Firefighters from Bolton Central were called out twice in the space of 30 minutes.
Crews were called to the van in Calder Road at 11pm and while firefighters were tackling the blaze another call came through that a vehicle was on fire in nearby Calvert Road.
Both fires damaged the wheel arch and the front end of the vehicles.
Crew Commander Chris Wilcox said: “The fires happened in a short space of time and are being treated as deliberate.
“Both fire engines at the station were tied up on the vehicle fires at the same time.”
Fire officers also alerted police.
Crews were on the scene of each fire for around 45 minutes.
