Meat and alcohol thief is fined

A MEAT thief stole £125 worth of goods from Sainsbury's.

Carlton Corley, of Crook Street, pleaded guilty to stealing £125.24 of alcohol and meat from the supermarket on July 8.

The 53-year-old was fined £80, at Bolton Magistrates Court, plus a victim surcharge and court costs.

Man almost three times over drink drive limit

A 27-YEAR-OLD man has been fined more than £500 for being almost three times over the drink drive limit.

Ben Cottingham, of Eatock Way, was caught driving a Ford Focus in his street in Westhoughton on June 6.

He pleaded guilty to the offence at Bolton Magistrates Court and was ordered to pay a £400 fine plus a crown and victim surcharge.

Banned driver caught in two different cars on consecutive days

A YOUNG motorist has been jailed for driving while banned — in two different cars on consecutive days.

William Molyneux was driving to work behind the wheel of a Fiat Punto stopped in Bradford Road, Farnworth, on July 21 and a Fiat Punto pulled over in Bridgeman Street, Great Lever, the day after.

He admitted two counts of driving while disqualified, one of driving without a licence and one of driving without insurance.

The 19-year-old, of Harper Green Road, Farnworth, was jailed for 20 weeks at Bolton Magistrates' Court.

Tonge Moor man jailed for motoring offences

A MOTORIST has been sent to prison for eight weeks.

Aidan Sherlock, of Starkie Road, Tonge Moor, admitting driving a Ford Fiesta with neither a licence or insurance on July 21 in Scowcroft Street, Tonge Moor.

The 21-year-old was jailed, banned for 18 months and ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge at Bolton Magistrates' Court.

Drink-driver banned and fined after being caught in street where he lives

A DRINK-driver was fined and disqualified for 20 months by magistrates.

Cade Walsh, of Ennerdale Close, Little Lever, was convicted of drink-driving and failing to stop at Bolton Magistrates' Court.

The 25-year-old committed the crimes at the wheel of a Mercedes 200 in the street where he lives on April 18.

Besides the driving ban, Walsh was fined £300 and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £475 court costs.

Teen guilty of drink driving

A TEENAGER has pleaded guilty to drink driving.

Lucas Anderson, of Blackburn Road in Egerton, was caught driving a Ford Fiesta in Higher Bridge on July 12.

The 19-year-old was fined £150 and disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Community order and driving man for Halliwell man who took car without permission

A HALLIWELL man was given a community order and disqualified for driving for 12 months.

Mark Bates, of Thorpe Street, admitted taking a white Fiat Punto without the owner's consent and driving without insurance along Hulme Road, Bradshaw, on May 13.

The 23-year-old was handed a 12-month community order, was ordered to pay an £85 victim surcharge and £250 court costs and was given a year-long motoring ban at Bolton Magistrates' Court.

Car crash man gets suspended jail term and three year driving ban

A BLACKROD man has been disqualified from motoring for three years and sent to prison for 20 weeks, suspended for 12 months.

Connor Hampson, aged 22, of Ridgeway, was driving a Volkswagen Golf in Manchester Road, Blackrod, on May 6 that crashed into three cars and damaged two front lawns.

He admitted drug driving, taking motor vehicle without authority and driving with no insurance at Bolton Magistrates' Court.

Hampson must pay a £115 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

17-year-old boy fined for driving without licence or insurance

A 17-YEAR-OLD boy who drove without insurance or a licence has been sentenced.

The Bolton teenager was behind the wheel of a 2009-reg Mercedes C250 caught in Chorley New Road, Bolton.

Offence of driving without insurance and without a licence was proved in his absence at Bolton Magistrates' Court.

He was fined £100 and eight penalty points were endorsed on his licence.

The youth was ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
