A FORMER student from Bolton St Catherine’s Academy has graduated from Bangor University with a First Class BMus (Hons) degree with in music.
Jonathan Worsley was also presented with two awards.
He received an award for his special project, where rather than writing a traditional dissertation, he produced “Edition” of the first movement of Sir Charles Villiers Standford’s Symphony No. 2 ‘Eligiac’.
He also received an award for achieving the highest overall grade of his academic year, an award he obtained in all three years of his undergraduate student.
As part of his degree, the musician, wrote and recorded a progressive rock concept album by the name of Automata, instead of a second dissertation.
He also directed the student led Bangor University Jazz Band in his third year.
