VOLUNTEERS from Bolton Mountain Rescue Team helped find a missing man.

The team joined Bowland Pennine and Cheshire crews to search Haigh Hall Country Park.

Police had concerns for the welfare of the missing 23-year-old man and crews were called in to assist their search. The man was found at around 6.30pm near in woodland to near the Hall.

Team members treated the man for the early effects of hypothermia.

He was taken by ambulance to Royal Albert Edward Infirmary in Wigan for treatment to his injuries.
