THE search is on to find the owner of a treasured picture found dumped in Bolton town centre.

The antique photograph – thought to have been taken in the 1940s – features three different wedding couples.

It was found lying in rubbish at the back of McDonald’s on Deansgate.

Kind-hearted Stephen Burrows, aged 50, discovered the photograph and handed it in to the Bolton News so we could help find the owner.

Mr Burrows, of Farnworth, said: “I was mooching about and filling in time when I saw a pile of litter scattered about on the floor – the picture was lying among it.

“I picked it up and decided to hand it in to the Bolton News to see if you can find the owner.

“It looks like a wedding so it is obviously of importance to someone. I hope it gets to the right person. I’m not after getting don't want anything out of it, I just wanted to do the right thing.”

The picture, which is in a frame, features a trio of couples in wedding poses. It is not known if they are related.

Is it your picture or do you know who the owner is? We want to present the picture to its rightful owner.
