A WOMAN had to be cut free from a car after a crash in Horwich.
Firefighters from Horwich and Bolton Central — as well as a special rescue unit from Leigh — were called to the junction of Victoria Road and Stocks Park Drive shortly before 1pm today.
Upon arrival they found there had been a collision between an Audi and a Ford.
A female passenger travelling in the Ford was trapped and had to be cut out by the fire crews.
Both drivers had already managed to get out of their vehicles before the emergency services arrived.
A rapid response vehicle and two ambulances were also sent to the scene.
Two patients were taken to Royal Bolton Hospital with minor injuries.
