OUR regular round-up of people who have appeared in Bolton's courts.

Order

A MAN has been made subject of a community order after admitting to stealing £5 after breaking into a car.

John Sokolowski, 28, also admitted to stealing a sun glasses case belonging to Peter Hook in Clitheroe and interfering with a white Toyota Hilux on September 8 when he appeared before Burnley Magistrates.

Sokolowski, of Ruttand Grove in Bolton, was made subject to a 20-day drug rehabilitation requirement and told to pay £10 compensation. He must also pay an £85 victim surcharge.

Driver

LADISLAV Lakatos, aged 36, of Bradford Road, Farnworth, has been given six penalty points and ordered to pay £420 in fines and court costs after admitting to Salford magistrates that he drove a BMW in Plodder Lane, Farnworth, without insurance on November 10 last year.

Attack

A WOMAN has been ordered to do 180 hours of unpaid work for attacking a man twice.

Cathy Williams, aged 41, of Parkway, Little Hulton, denied assaulting the man in Salford on January 26 and again on January 27, but was found guilty of two counts of assault after a trial at Salford Magistrates Court.

She was also ordered to pay £145 court costs.

Knife

A SCHOOLBOY's punishment for anti-social behaviour has been extended after he threatened to "knife someone".

The 13-year-old, of Little Hulton, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was told by Salford Youth Court in February that he must abide by the terms of an anti-social behaviour injunction until November 9.

However, the boy admitted to the same court that he breached the injunction on August 15 by making the threat and by swearing, ripping someone's clothing and also threatening to smash their windows.

The injunction was extended by a week.

Ban

A MOTORIST who smashed a car into a garden wall has been banned from driving for a year.

Liam Derek Hall, aged 25, of Amblecote Drive East, Little Hulton, was driving a Rover along Goldcrest Close in Worsley when he crashed into the wall.

He then drove off and did not tell police what had happened.

Hall appeared before Salford magistrates and admitted driving without due care and attention, failing to stop at the scene of a crash and failing to report a crash.

He also admitted driving without a licence, insurance or an MOT.

Hall must pay £260 in court costs and do 120 hours of unpaid work.

The court also ordered him to abide by the terms of a community order, which means he must stay home from 7pm to 7am daily until January 12.

Hall was given credit by the court for entering guilty pleas to all charges.
