BOLTON held its second Pride Festival, attracting scores of people of all backgrounds to join in the fun and spread the message “Love Bolton Hate Homophobia”.

The three day event launched on Friday with a black-tie awards ceremony.

And on Saturday Bolton saw its first ever Pride Parade through the streets of the town centre, followed by a concert.

At 6pm this evening, the people  of Bolton are being invited to stand in Victoria Square for the Love Bolton Hate Homophobia Vigil.

It will end with a minute’s silence to remember those who have been victims of hate crime.

Candles will also be lit.
