TWO men have been charged with a number of offences following an investigation into a string of burglaries in Bury and Bolton. 

Brandon Booth, aged 21, of Fern Street, Ramsbottom, was charged with five counts of burglary, six counts of taking a vehicle without consent and one count of breaching bail. 

Lewis Georgiou, aged 21, of Tennyson Road, Farnworth, faces two counts of burglary and two counts of taking a vehicle without consent. 

Booth faces charges of:

Burgling a home in Plumpton Drive in Limefield, Bury, on July 12 and stealing a set of car keys and a vehicle;

Taking a Volkswagen Golf from Bury without consent on July 12;

Burgling a home in Grantham Drive in Higher Woodhill, Bury, on September 10 and stealing a mountain bike worth £8,000;

Burgling a home in Station Road in Greenmount, Bury, on September 19 and stealing two sets of car keys, two vehicles and cash of an unknown value;

Taking a Toyota Aygo from Bury without consent on September 19;

Taking a Toyota Auris from Bury without consent on September 19;

Burgling a home in Bradley Fold Road, Ainsworth, on September 21 and stealing a Kona Dawg mountain bike, two sets of car keys and a Volkswagen Scirocco;

Taking a Volkswagen Scirocco without consent from Bury on September 21;

Burgling a home in Hayward Avenue, Little Lever, on September 22 and stealing two sets of car keys, two unspecified vehicles, an iPhone 6 and an iPad;

Taking a Toyota Landcruiser from Bolton without consent on September 22;

Taking a Peugeot 107 from Bolton without consent on September 22, and

Breaking a bail condition by failing to reside at Fern Street, Ramsbottom

Georgiou faces charges of:-

Burgling a home in Bradley Fold Road, Ainsworth, on September 21 and stealing a Kona Dawg mountain bike, two sets of car keys and a Volkswagen Scirocco;

Taking the Volkswagen Scirocco without consent from Bury on September 21;

Burgling a home in Hayward Avenue, Little Lever, on September 22 and stealing two sets of car keys, two unspecified vehicles, an iPhone 6 and an iPad, and 

Taking a Toyota Landcruiser from Bolton without consent on September 22

Both appeared from custody before Salford Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

Magistrates sent Booth's case to Minshull Street Crown Court and declined jurisdiction for Georgiou's case and committed him to the same court.

The men are due before the crown court on October 21 for a plea hearing.
