BOXING: Amir Khan helps a youngster with his boxing technique
BOXING champion Amir Khan has been teaching youngsters the ropes.
The sportsman, who owns a boxing academy in Halliwell, has partnered up with Irwell Valley Housing Association to give youths free boxing sessions.
The sessions will be for six to 14-year-old’s and over 15-year-old’s every Saturday and Sunday at the Academy’s centre in Prince Street, Bolton.
Amir Khan said: “Young people need an opportunity to do something positive, gain confidence, and learn new skills so I’m pleased my Gloves Academy can be that outlet for them.”
