A MAN has admitted burgling two homes and stealing car keys.

Lewis Georgiou, aged 21, of Tennyson Road, Farnworth, appeared at Minshull Street Crown Court, Manchester via a video link and admitted the break-ins.

On September 21 Georgiou burgled a home in Bradley Fold Road, Ainsworth, and stole a mountain bike, two sets of car keys for a Volkswagen Scirocco.

He also admitted burgling a home in Hayward Avenue, Little Lever, on the following day and stealing two sets of car keys for two vehicles, an iPhone 6 and an iPad.

However, he denied taking a Volkswagen Scirocco without the owner’s consent following the Ainsworth burglary.

Georgiou’s co-defendant is Liam Ford, aged 20, of no fixed address, who previously admitted burgling a house in Blackford Avenue, Bury, on July 1, burgling another house in Plumpton Drive, Bury, on July 12 and a property in Higher Ainsworth Road, Bury, on July 20.

The Crown Prosecution Service will now decide whether to continue the taking without consent charge against Georgiou.

If there is to be no trial then Georgiou and Ford will be sentenced on November 11.

The third defendant in the case is Brandon Booth, aged 21, of Fern Street, Ramsbottom, who also appeared in court via video link.

Booth faces charges of breaking into homes in Plumpton Drive in Limefield, Bury, on July 12, Grantham Drive in Higher Woodhill, Bury, on September 10, Station Road in Greenmount, Bury, on September 19, Bradley Fold Road, Ainsworth, on September 21 and Hayward Avenue, Little Lever, on September 22.

He is also accused of six counts of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent and one count of breaking a bail condition by failing to reside at Fern Street, Ramsbottom. He has not yet entered a plea and will next appear at Minshull Street Crown Court on November 24.
