YOUNGSTERS took a journey back in time for spooky tour around Smithills Hall ahead of Halloween.
Children donned their scariest costumes to enjoy a special ghost trail around the historic hall on Wednesday, and also brushed up on their pumpkin carving skills during a special craft session.
Tickets are still available for a ghostly tour of the site next month, where visitors are promised a fascinating insight into the history of the 700-year-old hall and ghoulish tales from its past.
The event runs from 7pm to 9pm on Thursday, November 24. To book tickets, which are £8 for adults and £7 for concessions, call Bolton Museum on 01204 332211 or Smithills Hall on 01204 332377.
