A CAR smashed into a wall after swerving to avoid another vehicle.

The Audi A4 crashed outside the Honda dealership in Folds Road, Bolton, at 10.10am on Saturday, after its driver was forced to turn as another car - a Honda Civic - pulled out of the garage.

Nobody was injured in the crash, but the Audi was badly damaged.

Police and ambulances attended the scene this morning.

A GMP spokesman said: "We were called at 10.10am to reports that a red Honda Civic and a grey Audi A4 had collided and one of the cars had gone into a wall. No injuries were reported."

Jon Leach, who was working at next door Maggi Electronics at the time of the crash, said: "It is very fortunate that nobody has been hurt in that crash.
"If there had been anyone walking down the pavement at that time then it would have been much worse."
