IT has been busy year for a Bolton mum, who is topping off 2017 with a starring role in a hit new BBC show.

Liz Hume-Dawson can currently be found on television screens alongside stars like Don Warrington and award winning comedian Dane Baptiste in his series Sunny D.

She said: "Producers tend to look at me and see nurse, so it's nice to play a mum!

"Playing Sunny D is like being in the 4 o'clock club but for adults, it's so fun and out-there. I enjoyed the whole experience, playing alongside Dom who's gorgeous and such a lovely man.

"It was such a nice thing to be involved in, we filmed over four weeks and everyone got on really well. Sometimes people just say that, but I really mean it!"

"I really do like directing and devising theatre alongside the A Level and GSCE students.

"Working with the adults at Walmsley for Godspell was amazing and the feed back for the production was overwhelming, I will never do Godspell again because I'll never be able to make it like that again.

"I am now looking forward to a good rest!"
