A MAN has appeared in court in connection with a stabbing.
It relates to an incident outside the Post Office in Tonge Moor Road, Tonge Moor, just before 6.50pm on Tuesday.
Stuart Brookes, of Tonge Moor Road, appeared at Bolton Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
The 50-year-old is accused of wounding Trevor Jones with intent and possession of an offensive weapon, a Stanley knife.
He is also accused of breaching a restraining order protecting a woman.
Brookes' case was sent for trial at Bolton Crown Court, where he will appear on January 4.
He did not enter a plea and was remanded back in custody.
