DARTH Vader and Chewbacca ensured the force was with visitors to a festive fair.

Bolton School’s junior boys held their annual Christmas fair, which this year had a Star Wars theme.

The two special visitors used the force to ensure visitors enjoyed the seasonal treats on offer in support of good causes.

A spokesman for the school said: “Darth Vader and Chewbacca proved to be very popular guests, much to the delight of all of those who attended.

“The school was raising funds for their Parents’ Association, the Zac Vali Foundation and, importantly for the pupils and staff, much needed funds for the Breast Unit of Royal Bolton Hospital after a member of staff received cancer treatment there earlier this year.”

He added: “There were lots of stalls including tombolas, raffles, Christmas Pudding bucking bronco, cakes, candles and Bolton School themed gifts including wine and honey. The boys and ADT teacher made over £140 selling their home made gift bags in aid of the Breast Unit. Monies are still being counted but it was an extremely busy night and the children and adults all had a great time.”
