AN elderly man who was hit by a car in Horwich has died.
At about 2.05pm on December 4, a man who has since been identified as 82-year-old Paul Broderick from Horwich, was crossing Green Lane, near to the junction with Carr Road, when a white Ford Focus car collided with him.
Mr Broderick was taken to hospital with a life-threatening head injury but died this morning.
Police Constable Peter Cunningham of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “I would like to extend my deepest condolences to Paul’s family after such a tragic incident.
“I would appeal to anyone who saw the collision, or has dash-cam footage, to get in touch with police.”
