Plans for road improvement works in Astley Bridge have been accepted after a petition was put to the council to address the situation.
The petition, signed by 500 residents, was handed to the Mayor in April this year for repairs needed on Blackburn Road at the junction between Asda and Crompton Way.
Now, although the project is subject to funding from Transport for Greater Manchester and scrutiny from the council, it appears they have finally taken note.
This is good news for Bolton residents as traffic, especially at the junction highlighted, has been making travel more and more difficult in the area.
