RESIDENTS can share their views on whether a new luxury car dealership should be built on the outskirts of Bolton town centre.

Last month The Bolton News revealed that it had received an application which could see a Jaguar-Land Rover dealership created in Higher Bridge Street. If approved, a new Jaguar and Land Rover showroom will be created on land between the existing Ford and Citroen car dealerships in Higher Bridge Street, along with a workshop, MoT testing area, car wash and valet bays.

The developer has said it will create a ‘striking’ purpose-built three-storey facility in Higher Bridge Street. Now Bolton Council is giving local people the chance to offer their opinions on the scheme.

The full application and its associated documents can be viewed at bolton.gov.uk/planapps.

For those without access to a computer, the plans can be viewed at libraries, area offices and the One Stop Shops and Bolton and Farnworth Town Halls. Any comments should be made by January 26.
