Jail for man who assaulted mum

MAGISTRATES have jailed a man who assaulted his mother.

At Bolton Magistrates’ Court Luke Hamblett, aged 38, of Tamar Close, Kearsley, pleaded guilty to committing the offence on January 8.

Hamblett has previously assaulted his mother and was subject to post sentence supervision at the time.

He was jailed for six weeks and must pay a £115 surcharge.

Community order for teen

A TEENAGER has been sentenced to a community order by Bolton magistrates after admitting assaulting a woman.

Hannah Harrison, aged 18, of Slater Street, Bolton, committed the offence against Kelly Taylor on October 21.

Harrison also pleaded guilty to damaging her victim's TV stand and harassing her.

She was fined £20 and must participate in 20 days of rehabilitation activities as well as paying £255 in costs and charges.

Assault man given conditional sentence

A CONDITIONAL discharge for 12 months has been handed to a man by Bolton magistrates after he admitted assaulting a woman on December 23.

Benjamin Butler, aged 24, of Chorley New Road, Lostock, was also ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs plus a £20 victim surcharge.

Damage man sentenced

MAGISTRATES have sentenced a man to a conditional discharge for 12 months after he admitted damaging a double glazed window worth £150 and used violence to get into a property on January 7.

Christopher Hooton, aged 26, of Wigan Road, Deane, was also ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs and plus a £20 victim surcharge.

Assault man sentenced to unpaid work

MAGISTRATES have sentenced a man to carry out 60 hours unpaid work after finding him guilty of assaulting a woman.

Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court heard how Zsolt Milaskics, aged 36, of Maplewood Gardens, Bolton, attacked the woman on February 2 2014.

He subsequently failed to surrender to court.

Milaskics denied committing the assault but was convicted following a trial.

He was sentenced to a community order and, in addition to the unpaid work, he must pay £50 compensation plus £550 prosecution costs and a £60 victim surcharge.

Car owner failed to identify driver

A MERCEDES owner has been fined £450 by a court after he failed to identify its driver to police.

The case against Saeed Ahmed, aged 36, of Waters Edge, Farnworth, was proved at Manchester Magistrates’ Court.

Magistrates heard how police, on July 5 last year, had required Ahmed to identify the driver of a Mercedes C220 who they believed had been guilty of an offence.

In addition to the fine Ahmed had six penalty points added to his licence and must pay £195 in costs and charges.
