A CAFE has been given planning permission to continue operating.
Applicant Ahmad Majid originally applied to Bolton Council for a change of use of the Derby Street, Daubhill, premises from retail to cafe but council officers discovered during a site visit it was already being used as a cafe.
Planners gave consent for the new use under delegated powers after an officer reported: "The proposal ensures the continued occupancy of this unit, makes a small but positive contribution to economic development and no harm has been identified to outweigh this."
The applied a condition that the opening hours are restricted to Sundays to Thursdays from 8am to 11.30pm and Fridays and Saturdays from 8am to midnight.
