RUBBISH in an industrial skip was deliberately set alight.
Firefighters from Bolton North Fire Station were called out to the blaze in Back Crumpsall Street in Astley Bridge at 3.30am yesterday.
The contents of the skip, thought to be builder's waste from a property redevelopment, had been set on fire by the unknown arsonist.
It took half an hour to extinguish the well-established blaze and there was no threat of the fire spreading to nearby homes.
