MOTORISTS and residents have been warned roadworks will be in place for a period of up to two weeks.
Temporary signals are needed from Monday, February 13, for as long as 15 days at the junction of Manchester Road, Walkden, and Whittle Street close to where a new Spar store is in development.
The temporary traffic lights are required to enable a lane closure for the installation of a new gas main by Balfour Beatty on behalf of National Grid.
Delays can be expected during this time and motorists are advised to find an alternative route during peak periods.
