TWO and a half decades of caring in the community is something worth shouting about.

And Bolton Hospice is on the lookout for people to help celebrate doing just that.

In its 25th year, the charity is gathering all of its supporters to don their glad rags, crack open the fizz and join the Silver Celebration Ball.

The glitzy event, on March 3 at the Macron Stadium Whites Hotel, will celebrate the contribution made by staff, volunteers and supporters to the hospice’s work every day.

Chairman Judith Bromley said: “Over the last 25 years the hospice has not only given palliative care to those with life limiting illnesses, it’s also provided much needed support for the families of those who come to us.

“This is a service that I’m extremely proud to be a part of. But the hospice would be nothing without its army of helpers.

“I for one would like to thank each and every person who has helped Bolton Hospice provide this critical service for the community. Your input, no matter how big or small, has enabled us to continue to provide the care and support that so many people in the locality need. I’m sure you will join me in wishing the hospice a very happy 25th anniversary. I know we all look forward to keeping this invaluable service going for another 25 years.”

Starting with a Bucks Fizz reception, Paul Heathcote MBE is cooking up a three course meal, while live entertainment will include the Showstoppers showgirls, classical guitarist, silent auction, caricaturist and live music by Groove Thing.

Tickets cost £40 per person and the ball is kindly being sponsored by The Bakewells Care Home, Brewin Dolphin, City Build Manchester, Russell & Russell Solicitors.
