A HORWICH mum has been recognised for her role helping Boltonians to drop the pounds.

Claire Bond was awarded Weight Watchers’ Diamond Coach status at her meeting at Mercury Motel in Westhoughton.

The award, which celebrates coaches who have provided exceptional support to their members during their weight loss journey, is only given out once every two years to a select group of Weight Watchers experts across the country.

In 2016, the mum-of-one helped members shed approximately 200 stone.

She said: “I’m so proud of my members and what they’ve achieved; it has been a fantastic year and to receive this award for doing something I love is amazing.

“It just makes you feel like good about what you do, it’s an honour.”

It is the second time the 43-year-old has been awarded Diamond Leader status, which she was presented by area manager Louise Lloyd.

Meeting member Leigh Smith said the accolade was well-deserved.

She added: “Claire is a real inspiration to me and the other members in our meeting. I have lost two and a half stones with Claire for my wedding day and felt amazing in my dress.”
