RE the outcome of the application to build on the green space at the Last Drop, Bromley Cross.
It is astonishing to contemplate that in spite of more than six hundred letters of objection, fifty per cent voting against by the panning committee, including local councillors who best know the area well and understand residents' genuine concerns, that a casting vote from a representative of another area resulted in the developer being given the go ahead.
This does not inspire confidence in the planning system, as Bromley Cross will be, as a consequence, 'a much less pleasant place in which to live'.
A legal decision it may be, but morally it is open to question.
