SIR Ian McKellen has received his tenth Olivier Awards nomination.
The actor has been shortlisted in the Best Actor category for his performance in No Man's Land at Wyndham's Theatre.
He received the only nomination for the Harold Pinter play which also stars fellow X-Men and Waiting for Godot actor Sir Patrick Stewart.
Following the nominations announcement today, the former Bolton School boy tweeted his congratulations to his fellow nominees.
He added: "I'm honoured by my 10th nomination, "Best Actor" for "No Man's Land."

Also vying for the coveted award are Ed Harris for Buried Child, Tom Hollander for Travesties and Jamie Parker for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Written by JK Rowling and set nineteen years after the end of her famous book series, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the most nominated new play in the award's history, with 11 nominations.
Olivier Award winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall in London on April 9.
