FANS of the world’s greatest playwright certainly won’t be ‘Bard’ as Bolton Library and Museum Services celebrate Shakespeare Week.
Young aspiring playwrights can join in free family friendly activities for the national annual celebration, from March 20 to 26, of the great scribe. Listen to silly Shakespeare stories and have a go at making a remarkable ruff at Bromley Cross Library on March 21, 5.30pm to 6.30pm; Farnworth Library on March 23, 5.30pm to 6.30pm, and Bolton Central Library and Museum on March 25, 2pm to 3.30pm.
On Friday, March 24 at 11am, Bolton Central Library’s Toddler Tales will be celebrating Shakespeare’s Fairies.
Cllr John Byrne, Cabinet Member for Culture, Youth and Sport, said: “Events like Shakespeare Week are a great introduction for young children to the works of Britain’s most famous playwright, and we’re pleased to be supporting it with a range of activities.”
