A SEVERE weather warning of rain is in place for Bolton.
The Met Office issued the warning on Sunday and it runs until 5pm.
It follows a deluge of heavy and persistent rain which fell throughout Saturday.
Today's weather warning says: "Localised surface and river flooding is possible, chiefly in areas where there has already been persistent heavy rain overnight."
The rain is expected to ease from the north during the course of the afternoon.
Yesterday, the fields at Moss Bank Park flooded due to the downpour.
