A FAMILY is looking for raffle prize donations in a bid to raise money to help send a sick child abroad for treatment.

Connor Wood, aged 14, from Deane, was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma just before Christmas after being rushed into hospital when he fell ill at school.

His family have been told the teenager, who attends Ladybridge School in Deane, will have to go to America for three months for proton beam therapy (PBT).

They think they would need at least £4,000 to support the family while they are abroad for Connor’s treatment.

Mum Shauna and aunt Zoe Diggle are holding a family night on a date to be confirmed in April and are looking for local businesses and residents to donate raffle prizes.

Anyone who wants to donate any prizes, which could range from restaurant vouchers to TVs to bottles of wine, should contact Mrs Diggle by calling 07568585895 or by sending an email to zoe.diggle.zp@gmail.com
