BOLTONIANS have been a big part of Comic Relief 2017 so far – and we want to celebrate readers’ fundraising efforts, too.

Whether you’ve got a special event planned at work or school, or are just donning your red nose for the day – then we want to see your pictures.

Local celebrities have already put in a great shift for the bi-annual appeal.

Sara Cox raised £1 million with a 24-hour danceathon, while Jenny Ryan and Anne Hegerty from TV quiz team, The Chasers, have been entertaining audiences with their Wizard of Oz routine as part of Let’s Sing and Dance for Comic Relief.

Famous for its ready wit, the town’s comedians are sure to join the fun on Friday night.

Bolton comedian, Paddy McGuiness, has already got in on the act – gate-crashing Good Morning Britain with a tea trolley full of cakes while wearing a fetching Red Nose Day apron.

The aforementioned kitchenware is among a host of Comic Relief merchandise available this year – with money raised going towards good causes in Africa and the UK.

So if you’ve purchased one of the aprons, an official T Shirt, red nose or red nose ‘antenna’ then get your gear on and send in your photos.

Remember to include your name, age, and whereabouts in Bolton you're from.

If you've been involved in a fundraiser, then let us know what you've done and how much you've raised.

We'll use a selection of the pictures in the paper and online.

Kids and big kids are being encouraged to ‘do something funny’ for this year’s Comic Relife.

People across Bolton have been getting into the spirit.

Here are children from Bright Futures Nursery, Green Lane, Bolton, who created a music video and will be wearing red all day on Friday to mark the fundraiser.

The video was originally posted to the nursery’s Facebook page and received 1.7k views in 24 hours.
