A PRIMARY school staged a special Mother’s Day celebration to show how special mums are.
St Bartholomew’s CE Primary School in Westhoughton invited mums and grandmas for a special morning of entertainment and homemade treats, lovingly made or decorated by the pupils.
James Riddick, deputy headteacher, said: “Some children made cakes and others bought cakes and decorated them. We decorated the tables with flowers.
“We had 130 people replying to the invites but had more on the day to show how special mums are. We had a really good turnout”
He added: “The children sang songs.”
After the entertainment, mums and grandmas enjoyed tucking into the treats and enjoyed a special morning just for them.
