SMOKE: The fire in Crown Lane, close to the M61
A CARAVAN was destroyed after it caught fire.
Fire crews were dispatched from Bolton North and Chorley to the blaze in Crown Lane, Horwich, at around 3.10pm.
A passer-by saw smoke billowing from the site close to the side of the M61.
The firemen gained access to the fire through a neighbouring back garden and put the fire out with a hose reel.
