INCIDENT: The man came off his motorbike in the southbound carriageway
A MAN has been taken to hospital after coming off his motorcycle.
Police were called to reports of the man coming off his vehicle in the A666 St Peter’s Way southbound at 2.33pm.
The incident occurred at the section close to the A579 Bradford Street near the Toys R Us slip road.
Paramedics also attended the scene to treat the man and he has been taken to hospital for assessment but the extent of his injuries are not yet known.
Traffic built up in the area due to the road being blocked by the incident.
There was congestion to the A673 Turton Street by the Bolton Gate traffic lights and it affected traffic heading towards Manchester.
